Was curious if i should go cheap like kyb gr2 / monroe gasmatic , higher line monroe sensatrac or get the KYB agx?

Will the price difference be that much better handling??

It's not going to give you better handling, but it will give you a better quality ride. Valving of a strut by itself does not go much to improve a vehicle's handling. It will have more effect if the vehicle has higher rate springs, as it can control them better, and have the vehicle be less bouncy, but with factory springs, you won't notice that difference, it will just ride better.

unless they are the adjustables and stiffing up the ride then the cornering will be a bit better. Still not sure on which struts though???

well, if you are planning to drop in the future, I would say get something that can handle a drop, keep in mind what you are wanting to do, 1.5 inch agx's will do, more than that, and you would need koni's or some d-specs.
that is my two cents.

I have the eibach pro kit with the agx's, and they make for a decent ride. glad I didn't go lower as I do drive it in the winter with about a foot of snow at times, that and I like how it is an even drop, still keeps some of the rake of the car.
