i have squeaky rear mounts and its driving me insane, my front right one will squeek sometimes, but if i just spray some silicone or graphite lube in it it will stop and not give me any problems for a few months
just recently the rears have started squeaking like crazy especiall in the morning (maybe because its cooler? moisture?) and i have tried spraying lube in there to make stop, I'm sure i probably need new mounts, but is there anything else i can do to make them shut up until i get the new ones? maybe i am not getting the lubricant in the right place?
thanks
just break down and get
these, they should sovle most any rear mount problem you have.
those are only for coil overs he may be making them for stock-type spring but he isnt yet, i am definately going to replace the mounts with something, but am trying to get them to stop squeeking until i get around to doing it.
I think he was making them for regular springs too, if you read the thread.
Where are you spraying this lube? my guess to temporarily stop the squeeking would be to spray some inside the trunk in the upper corners where the strut shaft is bolted.
