Need help on getting more height on rear air struts. They are easy street Air-Over-Struts 9-way adjustable damper. The problem is I have a body kit and if I deflate all the way down I'll crush the body kit. I have the heim bolt in the bottom of the struts almost all the way out and it's still not enough. What should i do to get more lift and less drop?
some ideas I have so far:
*Installing a bump stop to prevent it from dropping to low, but not sure where to put it.
*Installing longer bolts on top of struts to get more lift.
any suggestions would be helpful or pics
thanks
Bump stops would be your best bet.
what kind of mount did u use for the rear i know with the flat plates that come in the kit i will sit lower i used my factory rear mounts and
modifed than to bolt them to the strut and i gave me clearnace so i dont smash my kit to the ground and i have the buddy club2 rear bumper and thats low as it is.
I put a rubber stopper in my wheel well to keep the body of the car to stop from going down any farther. I

I'm using the flat plate that came with the kit. How did you manage to use the factory mount's to bolt on the air struts?
I'm also using the buddy club2 bumper.
Drag it to death:
What are the rubber stopper sitting between? Did you Bolt them on or Weld?
Whats a good place to purchase rubber stopper?
any one of you have any pics?
pretty much the long part thats under the mount i cut that flush with the mount so the shaft can go threw the top of the mount and be tighten with the nut i may need a thick washer to.
I got the rubber stoppers off of a s-10 at a junkyard. I mounted them in the wheel well so that if i sit the car down all the way the rubber stopper sits on top of the tire not allowing it to go down any further. By the way i have a full drift kit on my car so i feel your pain on trying to not crack you kit. I am also on clylinders in the rear that will lay the rockers almost without the stoppers in and the bodykit off.
C D how ur making out with ur rear struts?
I want to install rubber stoppers mainly for safety , in-case a bag fails or a air line comes loose. I wouldn't want to tear anything up in-case I loose air pressure for what ever reason. I guess I will have to fabricate something to mount some rubber stoppers on the axel.
As far as the rear struts go I'm still waiting on some fittings to arrive so I can get to working on them. Know of a good place to get some straight push to lock fittings? I really like Alkon brand, and only need 4 of them.
the best place to find any kind of air fitting would be a heavy truck shop that sells parts and stuff for the semi trucks and trialers thats where i got all my fittings from.
