D-Spec X10000

Since everyone seems to be throwing up threads about D-specs, I figure I would too.

I am assuming, in this picture,

Why in this picture of D-spec adjustable struts, that 2 struts have springs and the other 2 dont? Do I just need to buy another pair of springs, and thats all I need? Or what, someone needs to explain this to me please

In this picture the D-spec lowering kit

Is that all I need is those to do a complete swap? Im not understanding these pictures at all.

Im assuming that the lowering kit is the better buy, at TTR, they are 850, and the adjustable struts are 650

It's best not to rely on the stock-photos, since manufacturers seldom take specific pictures for every application.

D-Specs are typically sold as a set of four with no springs. Popular choices are Tokico Sportlines, or Road Magnets. Any coil spring set will be well-complemented by them, however. Even stock springs.

i believe that picture is showing you what the strut looks like on the exterior (outter 2 struts) and what the inside of the shaft looks like (inner 2 struts)

as mentioned, yes dspecs are just struts, no springs come with them.

the reason why you only see 2 springs and not four is because if you look close enough at the picture, they are trying to show you the so called technology that makes up the actuall DSPEC inside. They could have still put it on, but they chose not to probably because it would have drawn attention away from the actual products insides. It was just merely an advertising thing.

Note that in my earlier post, I meant "Eibach Sportlines". Is it Friday yet?

Not even close geeky, lol. But I got what you mean anyway lol.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up. I figured they came w/o springs, but the description didnt mention anything about the kit, just what they did to the car.

Tokico has the D-Spec strut kit (all 4 struts).

They also have the D-Spec spring/strut kit (all 4 springs & all for struts).

Both have been very well liked!

I have some real good pricing on Tokico... so if you're looking around, PM or email me.
