Weird Drum Brake Noise

Last weekend me and my dad changed the shoes on my Sunfire. And now I have a very strange whining noise that occur when Im almost to a stop. It starts as a higher pitch noise and goes down in pitch along with the speed. We checked them again and cant find an issue. Any ideas? Its getting very annoying.

The adjusters too tight? You should be able to freely spin the drum when it is pressed flush with the hub, barely making contact with the shoes.

we got a winner... this happened to me when i adjusted my rear brakes on my teal cav.. intead of loosening it back up i just drove around the corner at a park and just broke a few times. the noise is just your brakes hitting your drums very slighty.

on my vert i adjusted it a little to much, i mean so much the wheel wouldnt even turn by hand while jacked in the air. . this cause so much tention it felt like a cable being stretched to its max. i actually took the time to take it back apart and do it the right way.
