Just recently I started having issues with my steering my car started going through tires. I had the outside edge of my tires wear out which i contributed to the tires being used prior to me getting and already showing signs of being worn on the outer edge. Then I picked up 2 newer tires that showed no signs of wear. Put them on my car and ran them for a while and the next thing I knew I blow a tire out and the insides of both front tires were worn to the cords. And I had started to notice the car twitching going around corners jerking left then right or right then left and would notice it under hard acceleration. So I switched over to my summer rims and tires figuring maybe it was due to the fact I went from a wide tire to a narrow tire. Well after only 2 days of driving on the tires I noticed a significant amount of wear on the inner part of my tire so this past Friday I took the car in for an alignment and told the garage what it was doing, they went and aligned it and took it for a drive and it was still doing it the camber was off some I believe they said. They checked all components and said everything looked fine but they were not sure what was causing the vehicle to pull under hard acceleration or causing the steering wheel to turn under acceleration my steering wheel will go from being straight/normal to just about a 1/4 turn to the left when under acceleration. Anyone else experience this issue? If so what did you do to fix it?
Check the bolts (2 per side) that connect the A-arm to the frame. If they get loose, your car will move left/right under acceleration.
