i live in canada with roads that arnt to great and was wondering if id be ok to drop my car with these springs. i have a blitz front bumper, bomex sides and bomex rear. whats some of your guys's opinion on this?
also with such a small drop(1.2") would i be ok on the stock struts? the car has 105 000kms?
thanks for the help
not an expert, but you should be fine with a 1.2" drop. also, your stock struts should handle the drop just fine, but you do have some mileage on them and it all depends in what shape they are..
I had the springs for two years with new Gabriel Ultra struts and they ride pretty close to stock with a fairly mild spring rate. Swapped them out a couple weeks ago for a different setup and the struts were still in good shape. Push them down and they'd come right back up with no signs of oil leakage. Depending on the condition of your struts you might be okay, or you might need new oem struts, but from what I've seen you don't have to go out and buy AGX or Dspec on these springs.
is there any way to check my stock struts...like the condition of them...im kinda clueless when it comes to suspension.. also could someone show me some picture of the 1.2 inch drop on your rides. thanks alot

the thing is, the stock struts suck, and suck bad. even IF they were still good (being that they're now 8 years old if this is for your '01 in your profile, thats very doubtful...) the stockers will NOT hold a drop for more than say a month or so. so you'd end up needing to do the work all over again and having to get ANOTHER alignment done just to replace something that had you waited a little longer for, could have done right the first time.

I have those springs. Stock or stock replacements do not work well. In fact one of the Monroe replacements that I tried lasted about 3000 miles. I have D-Specs now.
I tried to cheap out and I paid twice.
I bought mine from TTR and I like my Suspension Techniques Springs. There on KYB AGX struts. Its a small drop but the roads are crappy around hear .I wouldnt use lowering springs on any stock struts...Stock Springs = Stock Struts...Lowering Springs = Get better than stock struts. From what Ive read on hear you could use those springs on stock struts.Good Luck
I've got those same springs, and despite what I asked for, the shop where I had mine installed just put on some cheap-ass gabriel stock replacements. The ride isn't quite as rough as with the original struts, but, yeah you should definitely get some better struts...as I will, as soon as I can get the money together.
That said, the springs are a good choice if you live in a place with poorly paved roads and lots of inclined driveways. I'm still not sure if I like the color of them though.

could anyone show me some side views of their rides with these springs, ive looked in the members area but not much. thanks
^^^ My car with Suspension Technique springs sat a little higher up front and a little lower in back. That's with sub/box in the 80+ lb range though, and these springs aren't stiff so that could have been the difference.
^^^ It is empty right now. Once we put people or stuff in the back seat or trunk it levels out..
ya i think these will definately what i will be going with. i also have a very heavy sub box in the back so that should help out a bit, i was more worried about how it would look up front with only an inch lower but ya that looks wayy better than stock for sure. thanks for the pics
Did you ever get these springs?
If so, did you go with Konis or Dspecs and what do you think about the ride?
