n+w+f suspension swap
Monday, April 20, 2009 8:40 AM
so i have to do some work and swap out control arm bushings and stuff so ive been thinking . . . why not do this swap. i have a few questions though.

would it be doable to use all the parts from a w body? (engine swap in the future and it would be great if all i had to do was swap axles at the cv joint)

do i have to shorten the control arm?

thanks

Whats up people?

X2, not to mention, what do you mean by "all"? In any post asking a question, it's very helpful to have specific info pertaining to your question.

Very little, if any of the *suspension* parts will swap from a W-body. The axles are too long as well to swap without being shortened. (I had this problem putting the L67 into my Cavalier..)

The only stuff that swaps is the brakes and hubs from the larger cars (W, C, G bodies) if you've swapped the N-body knuckles first. The W-body knuckle definitely won't work on a J-body.

As for the brake swaps... yes, read the sticky
