Hey all. I'm bleeding the brakes on my car (2004 cavalier- non abs) for the first time. About how much fluid (assuming some spilage, etc.) should I get. I would hate to get halfway done, and then not have enough tofinish as the cavalier is my only car. Thanks.
just buy a big bottle or two. you can never have too much brake fluid around.
Thats probably good advice. I just have so many bottles of almost full fluids filling my garage, I hate to add another. I'm guessing a 1 liter container should be enough? Also, that deserttuners.com avatar is super appropriate for the brake forum.
remember that brake fluid is hygroscopic so make sure you don't leave it open for extended periods of time because it will pull the moisture from the atmosphere. Also keep that little seal they give you on the cap so that air doesn't leak in.
