How would one going about tightening the ebrake? As of now I need to yank that poor handle to the sky. Thanks

roll the notched wheel in the drums toward you
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
My park brake does not work till the last click on the lever. Just means its time to readjust my rear drums.

i do believe philbert is talking about excess slack in the cable. unfortunately, ours are non adjustable, and have to be replaced.
Slack in the cable is adjustable.

Slack in the cable is adjustable.
I have yet to see any adjustable features of our cables.
Care to explain?
Yup. Take a look in the handle assembly. I've adjusted mine from being effective on the last click all the way to locking up the tires well before the handle gets to half way. You need to pull the handle up...then hold the clock spring from falling back down and then put the handle down. This will hold the cable slack up into the clock spring and reset the handle down into the "at rest" position. Then the next time you pull it...it wont have to pull all the slack first. It works very well.

although thats not an adjustment in the cable itself......i knew thats what you were going to say, even though i have never done this. I am going to go try in the near future. I hope it is as effective as you say
Right, of course the cable isn't adjustable...you could make it tho with a custom set of cables. But the questions was: is the slack adjustable....answer: yes it is

Could also just adjust the rear shoes to where they belong and your park break will work again. Right now mine works on the very last click. Once I get around to adjusting the shoes the park break will be fully engaged by the third click.
^that works too....I've done that before aswell.

i did that when i had drum brakes.....
Mine doesnt work till the last click too. I was wondering how to fix that.
My brake won't hold my car if its on a hill ...backwards,but if my car is facing downhill the ebrake works.
Is it my brakes or do i need to adjust my drums.?

That is because one of the ebrake shoes is pushed out further than the other....or is rocked at an angle. Sometimes on worn out shoes you can get them to cam over and lock really tight...this is also why you see people not changing the rear brakes when they should since to them it seems to get better with age...lol. I've seen rear drums all shot to all hell and the owner was so surprised anything was wrong.
My suggestion is to open them up and see whatcha find.....even post pics if you feel it necessary.

I just find it weird that it works downhill and not uphill.
