Air bag coating

For all your air bag chumps...

Any of you guys put some type of coating on your bags to keep them from drying out?

I was thinking of a light coating of grease, but got thinking of rocks and what not sticking to it, then possibly ripping the bag when it deflates...

I know rubber cracks over time of it being washed and dried.. but curious to know if there's someway of extending.. or getting the life expectency of these bags...

I was pondering this on my 2hr drive to work today.
( I tend to think of too many projects to do during these times lol )

Thanks in advance.

All the big rigs i have seen haven't really had a problem with their air bags rotting. I have a year and a half on my bags(DDing them) and they are perfectly fine. So i wouldnt worry about it.

I spray mine down with an armor all type coating like what you use on your tires, I had the same worries Matt. Mine isn't a DD and usually sits up for months at a time before being used. So far so good?

I think the type of rubber they use in the bags resists dry rot quite well for a long period.
