ok so im looking at picking up a used lowering kit that consists of springs, adjusting sleeves, and cups by R1 Racing. I was just wondering if you can use your stock shocks for this.....and what would you reccommend
Are those E-bay spring? I've never heard of that brand before. Either case NO......
Stock struts/shocks are call "stock" for a reason...not trying to sound like as ass ,but I don't want you to waste your money on ruining your car and endangering the lives of you and other people on the road.
I would highly suggest you read the sticky in the section. It has a ton of useful information.

I recommend using those springs as legs for a coffee table and saving your money so you can lower your car properly with proper components(Not ebay crap).
Yes, read the "Suspension FAQ" sticky at the top of this forum(you might save a few lives).

tinkles pretty much nailed it head on.
most coilover 'kits' for our cars are cheap and lack replacement spring perches. so you'd be lucky to even lower the car.
will it work? most likely but its not going to be safe nor will the ride be worth a god damn.

And that FAQ sticky above helped a LOT! I'm glad you told me to read that
ground controls actually come with their own relocation spring perches.
