Does anyone have OEM's non coil over strut mounts installed? Pictures of the install? I have had a set laying around for 4 months or so. Have them for sale, but debating on trying them out. Have not been able to find directions on the install, for the spacers.

The spacers are there to raise the height of the car back to stock. If you dont use them it will lower the car 3/4". it goes:

so would your rear solid mounts and tein h tech springs which have a 0.9" drop give an actual drop of nearly 1.6 when used without the spacer?
I have them on my car and love them, unfortunately I never took any pics while doing the install.
In my experience the drop is more like 5/8" not 3/4"; then again I have the first produced set of non-coilover mounts set so he might have changed the spacer a bit.
I hate to drag this up again, but you're still confused about the spacers your providing as they do not affect ride height.
Putting a spacer between the shock shaft and the mount does nothing more than affect how the top of the shock is mounted.
If you want to impact the ride height you need to adjust the SPRING's mounting points.
Please think long and hard before posting if your considering aguring this, because I don't want this to further negatively impact your image, as I do apprecaite all the effort your putting in to making the J-Body parts and all.
Ben, the spacers do lower the car. If you think about it this way, look at the overall length of the shock. now if you take the spacer out it decreases the overall length of the entire shock. It will lower or raise the car.

I say, so what, now the shock shaft is longer. So what's going to happen when you put the car back on the ground. The shock will compress until the car is resting on the SPRINGS.
But I'm now also thinking you may be correct in the cases of stock suspension where the spring is already partialy compressed before you put any car weight on it. But also, if your adjusting height in this manner on a stock suspension, your also altering 'the used portion of travel' in the shock, which could cause problems with stock equipment.
Either way it's just not being explained properly.
Sorry for jacking the thread here John, here's my 30 second gimp paint drawing of the OEM Rear mount assembly, hope that helps.
The non-C/O desing is the same as the one for C/O's except that it accepts a larger diameter spring (i.e. stock size).
Not sure about the washer on the very bottom, that is where I used the large washer that came with my Koni's. Also instead of the the provided spacer I used several washers instead, just to lower the top of the shaft for easier acess to the adjuster on top. Couldn't use the spacer provided cause the diameter on the rear Koni threads is larger than stock and other aftermarket replacements.

I don't mind because I have too questioned using these spacers to really make it sit right. Do you have Koni red's or yellows? I have reds with sportlines. I do not want the car to sit any lower in the reat than it does now.
FU Tuning
I'm on yellow's but the dimensions should be the same for the red and yellows. Just different range of dampening adjustability.
I don't think it should be much of a drop change, cause your sportlines should sit up where stock springs would on a stock mount.
The problem with coilovers is the 2.5 dia springs sit about an inch further down the stock mount than the stock spring would, so manufacturers provide shorter springs with coilovers. Now with these mounts the 2.5 dia sprins sit at the level a stock spring would so it drops the range of our coilovers another inch. And I know Ground Controls sit pretty low to begin with. But your only difference should the thickness of the stock mount between the spring and body, and the thickness of the new mount between the spring of the body, which I imagine should be within about 1/4 inch.
I'm on Koni Yellows with the Koni springs (the sport kit). And like I said before, I have the first set of non-coilover solid mounts Mark made. I didn't use the spacer but instead used washers with the equivalent thickness of the spacer. After I put the mounts on, there was less than 1/8" of drop from the stock mounts. So you'll be fine John.
Listening as I've got a set on the way.
If indeed this does have a slight lowering appeal, that would be an added bonus since it' won't effect anything in the way of suspension travel.
Mark, I hope you got my order because I've heard nothing from you about it.
PM being sent.
