2005 cavalier.
installing dspecs and road magnets. fronts went smooth.
rears are clunking. anybody have pictures of what theirs look like before installing.
need some clarification on the
bump stop,
strut mount,
washer procedure. not too sure if i should use the factory bump stop hat either?? as it wont let the spring compress down.
do i need spacers or am i doing the bump stop wrong. ( i believe you trim 2/3 of the bump stop, slide the factory washer down shaft, slide bump stop, slide hat on top and then strut mount on top of that?)
help outtt
Dont trim the bumpstop.
Mine went in easy. I assume you have something to hold the rod still while you unbolt the mount, so thats probably not what you are talking about.
it helps to have a few extra arms to do this. I dont know what washer you are talking about though. to put the mount back on, we just put the spring on the shock, put the mount on, pushed down on the mount with the shock on the ground, and put the nut back on.
got it all figured out. borderline ty.
the rear shocks came with 1 thick 1 thin nut. so i went ahead and put the strut mount on, then nut, then washer, then 2nd nut.
once i took everything off again, made sure spring was sitting right, i pushed down on strut mount, put the washer on and then 1 nut only.
PROBLEM SOLVED!
