cleaning out air valves.. rust dust.
Tuesday, September 01, 2009 7:13 PM
Before installing the easy street air bag system i just got, i decided to inspect the valves. as i opened them up i saw "rust dust" haha. so i cleaned that out and all. but is it normal for this to occur? im pretty sure it was from the bag system system being stored for about a year., i just want to make sure. Also if anyone else with bags has any hints or suggestions before i go about on installing it onto my car, please tell me.

would it be ok to mount the air tank upside down on the black metal plate in the verts trunk?

Yes, the orientation of the tank doesnt matter.

i the system was used, the rust dust would tell me the previous owner perhaps didnt drain thier tank oftern enough, i would make sure you do.

also there is always some moisture in the air system, just a fact of life. Just make sure you do what you can to reduce this as much as possible- water traps, frequent draining.
