OK, so I found a GM Strut Tower Bar at the junkyard the other day. It has two mounting points. I have a 2004 Cavy. At first glance it seems the PCM is in the way. ANy suggestion on how to install the Gm strut bar in a 03+ Cavy? Thanks in advance
I notched out my PCM bracket. Works awesome. Working on a relocate though.

or just move the computer inside the car (i put mine beside my feet in that space below the radio, or put it in the cowl by your wipers.
so your saying the bracket can just be bent and the bar should fit fine? i really dont want to relocate. i honestly would know how to relocate it
I moved my ecm onto my driver side strut tower. And bent the @!#$ out of my cruise control bracket so it can stay where it was.
Stupid question then, is it hard to relocate the pcm?

serach relocate PCM and i promise you will find it. There are two different write ups about how to do it two different ways, either of which is effective.
I just moved my pcm to the front bolt of the strut tower...works pretty good lol. When you tighten down the but it'll start to bend the part that needs to be bent upwards...grab a pair of pliers, bend, tighten nut...now the pcm fits

well, here's the thing. on the front bolt of the strut mount is the cruise control bracket and module. would it still work?

relocate everything! lol. I relocated cruise and the ecu.. it cleans up the bay so nicely..
Manta, that engine bay is CLEAN. Now paint that damn coolant res black, lol.

s1lver helped relocate my ecu and we made a notch/bent the cruise bracket down, then the gm bar fits pretty well. really easy to relocate the ecu, hardest part is slicing a hole in the grommet thing and shoving it through. we put mine right above where the brake pedal is and it is impossible to get in the way.
Its a pretty @!#$ty pic, but you get the idea. Just a simple cut in the bracket. Cruise control bracket is held on by one nut on the strut mount. No problems here.
