Is there a warranty on Groun Control parts?
Friday, October 09, 2009 1:20 PM
I was looking at my car yesterday while welding some exhaust bits and I noticed that my collar has 2 cracks in it.
I took pics, but will have to upload them later.

One side appears fine, but the other is shot.

Is there any kind of warranty on the parts?
They have only been on the car for 8 years in buffalo

Dam! I would check their webpage and what you can dig up, and send them an email with pics.

So you want them to replace it for free when you have driven it through snow, salt, rain and all kinds of crap for almost a decade?

Never said anything about free. As I said, The opposite side is just fine. No signs of wear other that rusty springs.
They only have ~65k on them. I have no desire to buy a whole set.

I only wish the Koni's held up as well.

I wouldn't expect more than 1 year warrenty on parts. But, just go to the website click "contact us" and tell them what's up. They'll ask for pics to verify they are actual Ground Control parts and they will give you pricing per peice. I got replacement top hats for the front for $20 each. And I also had a friend split a sleeve on his integra by hitting a big pot hole I think he was charged $50 for just the sleeve. But that stuff is nasty I would consider replacing all of it.

$25 later and a replacement is on the way

Springs don't really go bad. The rest should be fine so long as the collar comes off.
I'll probably buy some new bearings from mcmaster carr.

As you might have noticed, its a cavalier and I stopped spending money on it circa 2003.
