Okay, here is the setup I have:
Everywhere I read, there is supposed to be a star adjusting screw on the bottom center. I don't see anything there. Someone help!

The adjuster is right below your wheel cylinder.
You need to put the wheel back on, tighten the lug nut, there is a rubber boot you remove from behind the drum, you take a flathead screwdriver, you need to adjust the brakes outward, normally you go up with the adjuster to do this, some are down, until you have a good amount of drag when you spin the wheel.

i just adjust the screw, put on drum and spin it,and keep doing that till i feel it drag, then back it off a couple clicks.

Thats not the correct way though, the brakes arent preloaded, like it is with the wheel on

that will get it close enough tho it will adjust itself as it goes believe if you do a couple hard pumps in reverse i thing gets the adjuster to rotate

drum brakes suck my ass.
i took one off of my beretta recently because i had a feeling the wheel cylinder was leaking, sure enough is was. i tried taking it apart and failed miserably. so i said F it and continue to dump a bottle of fluid in each week.
the local mechanic was $35 a side to put the parts on so when it gets warmer i'll be doing that. ive got all the parts to fix both sides, brand new drums, shoes, hardware kits and wheel cylinders.
the drums are just too damn confusing to me
Stand in the corner and SCREAM with me!!!!

No, there isn't.
Found out that as well. In fact, there is no access from behind the drum. You have to remove the drum completely to adjust.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
z yaaa, you won't want to do that forever (adding brake fluid) as i did that on an old car of mine, and eventually before i got the leak taken care of, the brake fluid ruined the backside of my tire. sooooo, a cheap part like a brake cylinder cost me an extra 70 bucks for a new baloney.
