brakes are dead
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 9:53 AM
been searching around on here, im trying to find a good set of brake pads and shoes. i have a 99 4-door cavalier with the 2200/auto. the pads that i have on there now is a set of Bendix from advance auto and cheap rotors. i have never replaced the shoes, and i know they are dead because the make a squeal/metal on metal grind noise. i think the rotors and drums can be "turned". i have been looking at the ebc red stuff pads, but i don't want to pay $60-$80 for a set. any input would be appreciated.

no point in turning our rotors, when they can be had for roughly $25 each. last time i tried to price getting a rotor turned, they wanted $40 to do it even if it ended up too thin.
