are sub frames the same from 2 different cars?

is the sub frame that the motor bolts to in a 97 sunfire gt 2.4l 5 speed the same as the 97 cavalier sedan 2.2l automatic. are they the same and can i just interchange the sub frames without modifiying anything?

As far as I know the sub frames were the same from 95-05 the tranny mounts are on the frame rails not sub frame so that won't matter

95-02 are the same and 03-05 are the same

03-05 can be used in a 95-02 ONLY IF YOU HAVE A 2.3 or 2.4 or 2.2 ECO, CAN NOT USE A 03-05 ON AN OHV ENGINE

95-02 have a "hump" in the middle for the OHV exhaust routing. 03+ all that was availible was the Eco, which routes the exhaust like the 2.4, so they did away with the hump.

Ah got ya. Lol. I had no clue it's been 6years aince I had my 97 2.2 I never knew they were different.

not to be a dick don't take it the wrong way but this is why a search needs to be done so that wrong info isn't out there we have beaten this to a pulp already
