I really don't like the look of there front caliper,And its only 2 piston,And Willwood is 4 piston and looks way nicer..Thats about the only real reason.

Why not Wilwood and neon rear disc conversion....

i know of quite a few doing the wilwood fronts, and ssbc rears.

and after seeing most of the brackets for the neon brakes... i would never do them on my car. do the neon swaps use the e-brake yet? i know the SSBC kit uses the e-brake, and people like me MUST have an e-brake. but my main concern with the neon one is the chincy brackets.

Well for the price of the rear kit,It just looks like it will work the right way..

So anyone out there with any info I should be aware about..

i like the SSBc rears. they have the built in ebrake without having to deal with separate pads via drum design.

Any rear ebrake will work if you want to put in some time... its really not that difficult.

you know it always surprises me that these big name companies cant make something that truly is 'bolt on' without grinding, trimming, welding or fabricating. lol, not bashin wilwood, just always wondered that

No issues with my Wilwood kit, but it is slightly different than what everyone else is using

The rear kits from SSBC and Baer are bolt on. The fronts only need trimmed is due to the way the knuckle is designed

This!

And Wilwood fronts with SSBC rears would look RETARTED simply because of the drastic difference in calipers, they way they are shaped. Go with the Wilwood front and Neon rears. Those two calipers match way better than the Wilwood SSBC combo.

OR even better, go with BAER front with NEON rears

i dont have the SSBC kit on the rear but it's likely and rear conversion will widen your rear track a little bit, maybe 3/8" on each side ... this can cause tire rub issues so you may have to roll your fender, really depends on your situation but keep an eye on the tires after you do the install.

i have the wilwoods on the front and they're great. no issues with the install at all.

whats so chincy about the neon brackets? I just got a modified set and theres plenty of bracket there. I dont recall anyone saying their neon conversion broke in any way, nor have any neons lost their calipers. Yeah and the working parking brake thing has been established long long ago.

Also on the modifying of bracket for the wilwoods. Im sure even less people would pony up the cash if they had to pay more for custom knuckle that came with the kit. No way that would be cheap, somone at wilwood probably already thought of that.

the neon brackets just look cheap to me. i remember when darkstars had them they were one of the first runs and they were chincy looking for sure. and at the time they didnt have the e-brake worked out. maybe its because they were one of the first runs...

and the wilwood is very simple, you modify your spindles or just get an extra set like he did and swap them out. thats what i would do too.

Actually your right, the 03-04 E-brake cables for the neon swap don't work. I remember now that you mention it. In the GP the 03-05 guys had to buy 95-02 E-brake cables if they wanted this swap.
