ok, so i'm going to school at uti, and i figured i would have my buddy in the brakes class redo my back brakes. new shoes, drums and all hardware...then i figure, while he's doing that, lets throw on some new cables too...well, he said he cut all the cables to get em out easier, and then he tried putting the cable back in the emergency brake handle, and he can't get the spring to spin around all the way. so, i tried going at it, and i just can't get the unit to spin around to get the spring tension, and have room to insert the cable. i get almost there, but i can't get that last inch. am i missing something? is there a certain precedure or something? or a special tool?
There is no trick other than buying the entire handle assembly with the main cable already attached into it.
