To lower or not to lower?
Tuesday, May 04, 2010 11:54 AM
I have the money to buy some lowering springs this summer, but my problem is that I live in West Virginia and we have some harsh winters here. My 04 Cav is my daily driver and I want to lower it, but I don't want to jeopardize getting stuck in the snow or anything like that. My car went like a tank in the snow this winter. I don't know how hard and aggravating swapping springs when I do my wheels would be. So any suggestions or help with my dilemma would be helpful. Thanks.

Agreed. The problem is, I don't have $1200 I wish I did though.

^ You notice any significant difference in how it goes in the snow?

no body roll seemed to help me out this past winter being lowered.. Also switched to winter tires so i'd like to think the combo helped quite well

btw, the answer is always: To Lower (correctly with spring/strut combo or coilovers/airride lol)

It's not hard at all, took me three or so hours with no prior experience. Even though I don't deal with snow down here in Fl, mine's a DD and the only changes I've made is being a little more careful
