ok so yes i feel dumb asking, but my set up now is koni yellows and eibach ground control coilovers. got them on even with some minor trouble run ins but the problem is i only got like a inch drop. take in mind that the coilovers are spun all the way down. is there any way i can get a bigger drop with this set up because its just not low enough at all.
maybe you installed the threaded sleeves upside down.....that's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.
nope checked those they are right
we need pics to help/// take pictures of how you have them. my ground controls and konis arnt even maxed out and im pretty low.

Mine could put the car on it's frame if I wanted to.
Pics plz
here is the picture she sent to me. that is the rear but i'm sure you guys already knew that.. lol
Remove top hat and spring perch SILLY!
haha, took me a minute, but that's the rear, top hats go on the fronts. Also make sure u got the heavier springs in front as well. How do you have a factory spring perch on the koni? The red GC sleeve should sit on a retaining ring that came with the koni's for GC.

lol pretty much dont listen to guys who work on 240s and jettas all the time. thanks for helping me out today though!! imma start on everything now and hopefully get her all fixed up
you also shouldn't have that cup still on the rear struts, should be pounded off.....hears a pic of mine when assembled.
got the rear all done . gary thanks that picture really helps!
does anyone have any suggestions/tips on cutting the perch off of the front ones?
do the rear shocks only rely on that metal ring for the GC?
an aluminum ring slides down the strut shaft and sits on the welds left over from the original spring perch, the ground control sleeve than slides down and sits of that rings. The rings differ depending on what struts ur using.

no not the front the REARS lol
yes, and the rears are what i explained lol.
the fronts don't have a ring they have a plate, which sits under the coil sleeve, no in it.
upon thinking about it more, i was wrong on the "weld" part, i forgot the rear perches aren't welded, there's just a lip rather than the weld.
yeah thats what i was thinking
the d ring is what sits on the weld after removing the perch correct?
ok thats what i thought. now just to figure out how to get the damn perches off cuz i got nothing to cut metal cuz a dremel is taking waay to long
I used a hack saw and then cleaned it up with a nice fine metal file. Just make sure to stay above the perch welds and don't cut deeper than the perch. Once you think you've got it cut in all the way around the perch try to bang it off with a hammer it may just be stuck with rust and grime.
so what is the need for cutting off the perches. what happens if you dont
i just took the koni out of the stock houseing and used a plasma cutter to cut half of it off and used a grinder to get the rest off it worked out nicely and i repainted them too
