Im working on a set of Dspecs. They have adjustable dampening. So Im wondering what everyone is doing with their dampening settings. Same on all 4 corners? Or different for front and rear?
Is there and advantage to putting different dampening in front and rear?
normally, I would have the fronts slightly stiffer than the rear (maybe one to two clicks difference max). I was always under the assumption that dampening needs to match the spring rate/ weight of the vehicle for general purpose/ road handling performance.
when I would drag race, I'd normally crank the dampening in the rear all the way up, and turn the fronts all the way down then go back up a click or two (I have a different suspension so the number of clicks may vary but the principal is the same).
ultimately, try it out, and see what works best. weight distribution is different for everyone's car... trial and error.
