Hi i just bought a 03 Z-Type its been lowered on eibach proline springs it got new mounts but stayed on everything else stock, when car was new too me month ago i didnt hear anything now ive done almost 3000K and few times i hit some rough roads too hard but im hearing noises can anyone explain to me what a shock bearing does when it goes ? thanks.
Do you have the Pro-kit or Sportlines? There is no such thing as Eibach Prolines.
It sounds like @!#$ because you're on stock struts, you need to upgrade to something that can handle the drop. And depending on which springs you have you'll need either KYB AGX's or Koni Yellows.

could just be how it was put together, could be loose or something, and lowering springs on stock struts usually doesnt end well

It rides mint 90%+ just certain Deep potholes i hear like a plastic breaking sound in the rear, shocks struts too me seem mint and sound sounds like its coming from above like near rear window and where mounts are also i notice going slow.. say pulling into plaza i hear a bang, how can i tell if the mounts are no good. ? im thinking he lied about doing all mounts think just fronts were done. it handles good tho like said 90+% time

the spring rate of your drop springs is too high for the valving of stock shocks/ strus whatever you want to call them.

I guess I'm a moron, actually...i probably am. But besides the point i put H&R springs on stock struts/shocks and rode like that fine for 3+ years. the only time it was ever bad at all was on very rutted, jacked up roads...it rode like a tractor. But was smooth on all roads otherwise. will it blow your you stockers? yeah but not in a week or a few months. Of corse keep in mind my Z24 was brand new when i did this, if your J-body is old and the struts are old too, i wouldn't suggest this. you'd be better off replacing the springs with new aftermarket struts and shocks as long as you're doing everything else.

good luck buddy, your ill Z type is a roll over waiting to happen. if you wanted advice that you could take you are in the right place maybe your crx did ok with stock shocks, but our shocks are crappy to begin with and lowered you are not getting anything better.

Ok you @!#$ whney canadian piece of @!#$ if you know its the mounts then why are you asking? If you blew your mounts in a month then obviously your setup is not working as great as you say it is. Strut mounts don't just blow in a month for no reason. Your stressing them and prematurely wearing them. But hey none of us know anything about these cars and have never been through what your doing or helped others. Your to @!#$ thick headed to see we are trying to help you and jsut going off about us being wrong eh.
