I've been considering getting new brake calipers/rotors for my '04 cavalier that look and perform better than stock. I love the way wilwoods look, but they are really expensive and impractical for the type of driving I do. My car wont go over 95 (you guys know why), Im not looking to race but I would like a combo that would be better than stocks and look better through the wheels (my wheels allow a lot of the rotor/caliper to show and the stock ones are just rusty and shiatty looking. If nothing comes of this, I'll probably just paint OEM ones and just deal with it, just wondering if there were any options that look and respond good without dropping the kind of cash Wilwoods require.
The set I make uses Subaru STI rotors, but are still very close to the Wilwood price.
There is a post in this forum "performance brake kits"
Shown my kits being made start to finish!
Look up the Neon rear disc swap for the rear brakes and for the front just pick up some slotted stock sized rotors and Hawk pads.

TROOF!!!
unless you want Wilwood, SSBC, or Baers.
I had the full Willwood kit as well Hawk HPS pads with PowerSlot Cryo treated rotors and SS brake lines. Either setup is nice for the money. The Willwoods were like throwing a boat anchor out the window.
the nwf swap would be another option that's relatively low cost with the "big brake" look and feel. you would be able to decide how cheap or expensive you wanted to make it (new parts vs. used/junkyard parts)
should be a sticky at the top of the forum as well on this.
