ok so i need some serious help cuz i am starting to get pissed off!
ok so my set up now ground control coilovers and koni yellows and board stock strut mounts as told to use. seriously @!#$ these mounts!! i have has one blow on me already and yet again tonight so now much strut isnt even sitting up in the mount. what is everyone running for mounts so i dont have to keep going through the b/s and drive my car off a cliff!
I'm using ground control coil overs and the stock mounts with no problem.
I didn't use the stock bearings for the stock coil spring though. I used needle bearings and races and never had an issue.
Do some searching around, wicked weasel or something close to that (sorry) did a write up about replacing the bearings that way. I believe he even had specific sizes and maybe even part numbers. Been a couple years, cant fully remember.
Hope that helps. Otherwise look into OEM's strut mounts, they may be better.

The Ground Control kit should have come with top hats, needle rollers, and races for the fronts. If it didn't your missing parts. Also there is the pre 99 mounts, and the 99+ mounts which are a lil different, and the newer ones are harder to adapt to the coil overs. I rode on the 99+ mounts for a while but had some binding between the top hat and mount even with washers added for space (due to the squish of the rubber inside the mount. I ended up going with the OEM solid camber mounts for the front with I'm very happy with. Only issue is no real way to torque the nut on top of the shock shaft due to the nut being so tall it still covers the hex on top of the shock shaft, so even with the right tools it's inaccessible. And the solid mounts for the rear are nice too. But I added a Genesis 2" spring spacer in the rear to regain all the adjustability in my C/O, instead of only having the rear bottomed out or almost bottomed for options. Now I can lift back to stock height as well, as the coil over was intended to be able to do.

ok thanks ben. yeah the problem all rests in the rear passenger strut mount. it got to the point that because of the movement of everything it caused the middle steal ring that you boar out to come detached from the strut mount. for now with some washers extra nuts and electrical tape it is fixed and i have rode it alot in the last 4 days and havent had a problem yet i am going to look into geting the OEM soild mounts for the rears though, soon.
i'd be betting that your putting to much heat or pressure into the mount well drilling it out, thus ripping on weakening the rubber before you even install it.
i wrecked several new mounts drilling them, you need to go real slow, back off frequently and use lots of oil.
thats what i did i would only drill for a tiny bit use ALOT of oil walk away for awhile then go back
