I just did the rear brakes on my 2000 sunfire, new pads, e brake cables, wheel cylinders and spring kits, the problem is that I have the adjuster all the way closed, when I connected the cables everything was really tight, so tight that the e brake handle doesn't budge, is there any other place that can be adjusted
did it move before, my 97 gt's is locked up
is it install correctly?? if not check near the handle for adjustment not sure if there is one there or not.
how does the brakes work other wise do you have the right shoes i know some parts store give the wrong ones i get that all the time i say 99 and they give me the 03+ ones and it drives me nutts

No adjustment at the handle. It's really frustrating. My cable's stretched wayyyyy out and barely holds on the last click, but there's no way to adjust.

the handle does have a slack adjuster in it but you have to remove the console to use it.
the brakes are installed correctly and I did get the right shoes,I don't see adjusters any where, but I will double check, I am rebuiliding the car so there is no hydraulic brakes, but every part of the brakes has been replaced with new parts except for the drums which I cleaned up, so I dont no whats going on. thanks for all the help
cable must be either the wrong part or installed incorrectly
