So I installed new Hawk HPS pads and Powerslot rotors about 2 months ago along with stainless lines and new calipers. The problem I'm having is that when I start driving the car, for the first time of the day or after it has sat for a few hours, my brakes sqeak when I apply them as if there was corrosion that formed on the pads/rotor and it has to wear off. Once I have been driving for a bit the sound goes away and they work awesome. Is it something to do with everything having to get warmed up? The pads are supposed to be some sort of ferro-carbon, so I dont know that they would corrode after a few hours of not contacing the rotor. It sounds like ass and is pretty embarrasing for all the money I've dumped into it. Also I did use the lube on the back of the pad when I installed them. Anyone have this problem or any solutions?
I have Hawks HPS for about 4 years now, never once has it squeaked or made any noise. Now, it will make a grinding noise if the brakes got wet and rusted the iron from the rotor after sitting for a bit. It will clean off as soon as you apply the brakes. This is normal with all iron rotors/discs.

I've never heard anything with my setup and I've had Hawk Pads and Powerslot rotors for about 2 years now.
yeah it's really odd, it sounds like the wear indicator is hitting the rotor, it's definately not though but thats what it sounds like until they are warmed up or whatever happens to make them stop. But even if it only sits for a few hours on a dry bright sunny not-humid day, when I start driving again it will make the sounds at the begining. Everything is tight and tourqued to spec, nothing loose anywhere, no play where there shouldn't be, and basically everything is new. It started like 2 weeks ago and its been going on ever since and I can't locate any issues
