Are the Powerslot rotors any good? I have been reading mixed reviews on their products, and I would like to find out if their products are worth buying.

I ran them on the front of my cav for a couple years, no complaints here.

Powerslots....

Powerslot VS baer

Baers

the baer's crack because tehy are drilled after they are made. ive never had an issue with the powerslots warping or any other problems at all. i now run the cryotreated ones and love them even more.

I was told to stay clear of the cross-drilled rotors because of the cracking issue.

On a side note, which Hawk brake pad should I be getting??

I'd skip any rotor that was cross drilled, unless it was cast with the holes in there. If it doesnt say if they're drilled or casted in they are drilled. I can write four pages on why the casting is better and why drilling causes cracks but it delves into molecular mechanics and I dont think anyone wants to read that. Suffice to say that when I get my wilwood's this spring/summer they will be the flat disks. Unless you're going to be doing some hard track days, are competitive at the national level in auto-x, or your local auto-x does your runs back to back to back then flat faced rotors will be fine for you. Just watch out, recently normal parts store brand rotors (or basically any non performance rotor) have had a lower nickel content because the 4 Chinese factories that make all of them for everyone have been trying to save money and cut a lot of the nickel out. This means that these rotors warp (actually warp, not just get un-even pad material buildup) and warp pretty fast.

Damn. TY for passing on your experience.
I have some Canadian cross drilled rotors I bought from Summit (Rotor-Tech) and after nearly 5 years it is holding fine. I will be buying new rotors soon and I think I will be picking a plain face design this time as I want the most braking surface. Downside would be the good initial bite reaction that slotted and cross-drilled rotors gives.

Good thing you realize that the real benefit of cross drilled and/or slotted rotors is not the venting of out-gassing since theres almost no decent pads that out-gas any more.
