what should i get? i just need a shock to work good with a 2" drop, so im not to worried about adjusting the kybs. im looking more for a longer lasting and better ride.
you want koni's or d specs for that much of a drop.
i believe the hp is warrantied up to a 2 inch drop though it may be 1.75", either way that's basically pushing it to the max all the time. not what i'd recommend. might as well spend the extra couple hundred and do it right once.
I think the AGX's are good for a 1.5" drop...if your going more I would go with something that will handle the drop you are looking for. I thought D-Specs are good for more than 1.5" but could be wrong.

So the non adjustable cost more
HP's are the same as D-Specs IIRC. Just blue and non-adjustable. Alot of people think they aren't rated as low. I wouldn't use AGX's on that though. They will most likely blow.
I actually just had some email corespondace with Kyb and tokico. Tokico rep told me that the HP and dspec will both be ok with a 2 inch drop and most importantly are covered under warranty with that drop. Kyb however told me a few times that they will not warranty any strut used with a lowering spring, no matter how much or how little of a drop. But if no warranty is fine they recommended no more than 1.2" drop. I can forward the emails to anyone interested.

So y the hell does KYB even make the strut for if they theselves won't warranty them??? Thats the stupidest @!#$ I've heard all day, built for lowered cars, BUT DON'T LOWER THEM!!! LOL!! that should be their new slogan, I'm glad I bought Tokico's now.
Skr8 Goodz in tha hood
I have AGX's and only running the Eibach prokit which is a 1.4 drop. I was not impressed with them and would definitely go with the Tokico's next time.
