Im in the middle of a replacing all 4 brakes.... my drums will not come off...im thinking cause there's probably a lip on the drum and the shoes are stuck...i've been tryin to look up how to get them off...but cant find any...is thjere a way to back the shoes off with the drum still on ..... 02 cavalier by the way
You need to bust out some hammer time. Whack the top then the bottom and that will usually pop it, sometimes you got to whack it quit a bit to do the job.
That's right I said it.
=P...i've been wailin on it for a 15 minutes man...im gonna throw my arm out lol....that the only way??
air hammer works if you have a compressor
does the drum move freely? if so, just keep hitting it and try pulling on it at the same time with the other hand, the wifes old cobalt was a bitch to come loose, had to pull on it and hammer the same time, came loose with pulling on it after the 4th wack.

You are replacing the drums arent you? If you had that hard of a time getting them off chances are they arent worth reusing.
