ABS light problems

well here goes I did the "underhood fuse box" relocate to interior, and I have a abs light on, now I was thinking of grabbing the wheel sensores from my 98 sunflower and seeing if thats the problem but if they wont work then......I saw this quote
Transporter7220 wrote:The problem is it will actually throw two lights, covering the ABS light is fine, since even NYS doesn't care if that light is on. But it will also throw the Brake light, which comes on when your brake fluid is low, and when your ebrake is engaged. Personally I like to keep as much functionality as possible, so I tricked the PCM into thinking the ABS was still there. NYS inspection has to see the Brake light come on and turn off during start up for our yearly inspection, so taping over it doesn't really work.

from this thread......
so does that mean I should be able to cheat the abs and having light come on for diag and shut off when the car is running? I have heard of that way and a resistor to go into the ends, just needs to plug in so I can pass inspection here
