CV Joint or Bushings?
Saturday, July 09, 2011 4:46 PM
Just put a new suspension setup on my car, the car squeaked a bit before this anyways. I do have clutch chatter just from a 6 puck clutch, but when I go to take off and it chatters a bit, I get a squeaking/creaking sound. I'm thinking CV Joint...? No grease is escaping the boots at all, just squeaks and creaks a tiny bit. How long do I have before I really need to worry?
As for replacement, I've heard nightmare stories about autozone, and advance auto CV joints. Where else can I look, or should I just look into a rebuild?

It's either control arm bushings, or strut mounts.

Probably the Prothane bushings then, guess I'll just have to deal with a squeaky car

I have those bushings installed on the control arms tranny and the motor and no squeaking here maybe its your strut mounts, it could be alot of different things, good luck.
