Hi I have a 18mm front sway bar. I would like to know if I put a 22mm eibach or progress rear sway bar would it have a neutral set up or should I get a bigger front sway bar.
Thanks
I have a rksport rear sway bar installed not sure what mm size it is probabaly 22 or 24mm and I have my stock front sway bar still I installed prothane endlinks on my front bar and just purchased some 18mm moog center bushings but havent installed those yet. and I had to guess that our front bar is 18mm when purchasing lol glad your saying the front is 18mm. But as far as handling its great. does anyone know if I can replace these front sway bar bushings easily or do I have to take the whole bar off the car?
RKSport is 22mm, the bushing you should be able to replace w/o removing the bar, but its still gonna be a pain. I have the RKSport bar sitting around, but I don't have the mounting hardware if your interested.
I would guess that the car will likely tend slightly towards oversteer.
running an fe2 front and an addco rear (25.4mm), my car was very tail happy.
I'm running the addco's front and rear and could not be happier with how it handles. very neutral with just a touch of oversteer.
So an fe2 is a 22mm front sway bar right and run a addco rear bar how was it in the rain thanks.
I would not recommend the fe2 with the addco. I would recommend both addco bars front and rear.
with just the rear the car was very tail happy. MAJOR throttle off oversteer. with both addco bars the car still rotates but more predictably IMO.
Would the addco bars front and rear be fine for every day driving and winter driving?
A bit stiff, but I can't think of a reason why not. the thing you have to remember it it will limit wheel travel to a certain degree.
Thanks just one more question which sway bar kit would be best for every day drivng eibach or addco. Thanks
Thats something that will boil down to personal taste really. The Addco bars are just fine for me, I don't have a lot of off main road driving to do. very nice in the corners, almost no sail boating. (I have a lot of other supporting mods to go with it) I had the FE2 front and RKSport bar in the rear, and was pretty happy with that too. A little more lean to it, but not so much as you would notice driving normal. You would really have to be pushing it to be able to tell. All this is my own experience driving many winding country roads.
Would the eibach ones be not as stiff.
and my set up as of now are Eibach sportlines with tokico d-spec and f/r strut bars and would like to know which bars I should go with and not have alot of oversteer/ understeer. Thanks.
I have the fe3 24mm front and 25.4 rear it can be a bit tail happy off throttle mid corner but its very controllable. With that being said when it does that when it does it is 3wheeling. Like a dog peeing on a tree.
see ya!
Does any one have the eibach kit and how does is feel and would it be fine for driving in the winter with thanks.
Been using my Eibach kit for about 6 years now, works great. The car is stiffer when jacking the front, the rear wheels on that side will come off the ground if you go high enough.
I have a GM Strut Tower brace in the engine bay, stock Z24 bar in the front, and an Addco 25.6mm Rear Sway bar. In most turns the car doesn't understeer at all, but in high speed situations or in very sharp turns (like say @!#$in around in a parking lot) the car is very tail happy if the rear tires lose traction for a second. I'm pretty happy with the way she handles though, totally worth the money. If I had to guess the 22mm rear sway bar would be perfect for making the car neutral.
General idea is from what is readily available (no fabbing):
Front Rear Steer
18 0 under
18 22 neutral
18 25.4/26 over
22 0 under
22 22 under slightly
22 25.4/26 neutral-ish
24 0 under
24 22 under
24 25.4/26 under slightly
25.4/26 any under

Whats the 04 ls sport stock 24mm front bar pkg?
see ya!
Lol ok i have that. All i can say is my car is a slot car and very hooked up. Its not the speed you can enter a corner but the way it can put the power down and squirt out of corners from the apex out. Its very fun to drive
see ya!
put a limited slip in and it's even quicker through the corners.... my car begs to be driven faster and faster through the corners.
I have a rebuilt obx lsd i just need a clutch to install it.
see ya!
