I was just wondering if anyone has the part # for the gm strut bar for a 96 cavalier 2.2 5 speed. I went to the dealer but they are f*ckin retarded and ive searched the internet for it but cannot find it. I couldnt find it on gm parts direct or gm performance. Please help me out. Thanks. <br>

Would the GM strut bar fit on a '03 Ecotec ??
you'll have to modify the bracket that holds the computer to the passenger side strut tower....
nothing major, but it WILL work just fine
There are actually (at least) 3 GM strut bars... I don't know what the number is for the third one...
22604347 is the bar with no cruise control mount, one bolt to the firewall
22642387 is the bar with a cruise control mount off the passenger tower, one bolt to firewall
there's a third number.... used on convertibles (obviously) that had two bolts to the firewall... because i saw one on a 98 Sunfire vert the other day... no idea on the part number...

mr goodwrench was questioning the part number on the third one the other day.... apparently that 3rd bar was replaced by the new ones using the same part numbers
which kinda sucks...
should get the vin off that sunfire and take it into a dealer and see what comes up
I have a bar with two mounting points.
I believe they did come off the older convertables. Maybe 95-97?
I too am interested in that third p/n. Has anyone seen an updated p/n for a strut bar w/ passenger tower cruise bracket? If there's going to be one that fits my car, that'll be it...
