I have an 02 sunfire gtx with ecotec. I bought some coilovers from someone on ebay and have no idea on how to install them. They have dual locking perches and came with all kinds of O-rings.Any Ideas?Also does anyone know if you can use stock shocks with coil overs. i was told by a mechanic you couldn't. Thanks.
tip for ya, they are prob crap. in the event that they are the several hundred dollar ones, then they are fine. if they are like the <100 dollar ones they are crap. even if they are the good ones DO NOT install them with stock struts. they cant handle the drop. just got rid of my crap ebay coilovers. They were so bad i had back problems after a month of driving it around.
recap, if they are cheap, throw them out. if not buy some adjustable struts and throw them on.
If those are less than $200 and are not Ground Control, Rksport, etc... YOu will have issues with them because most of those e-bay coil overs are not made for Cavalier they are just generic coil overs with high spring rate and no bearing which mean a noisey set up.

What a waste of $49.95. Do you really think you should trust the saftey of you and your passengers riding on a set of coilovers that cost $50?

The Rk Sport is nearly identical to Ground Control. They basically copied GCs design.
