The main nut that goes on top of the mount plate keeps backing off on my car. Im talking in like 100-150 miles. I just got my struts back from easystreet last weekend and i am having to take them apart again.
When the nut backs off the rubber spacers on the new style mount keep moving and get pinched when i try and tighten it back up. I just put a new strut on today because one is grinding with less than a thousand miles.
I am thinking about using a jam nut to keep the main nut tight. any yeas or nays on this idea? Does anyone else have this problem?
I know the guys at easystreet are trying to work with me, but the last time they backed off was after airlift assembled and tightened the main nyloc nut.
All I did was loctite the nut (loctite red) and tightened it using an air gun... it has not moved an inch since September of last year...
I did this for all the nuts... worked like a charm so far...
