I just ordered eibach sportline springs w/ 2.3 drop in rear and 1.7 in front. Would the Tokico HP Blue struts be a good choice to go with? I know Koni is the best, but they are a lot more expensive. I just want to know if these will compensate for the drop. Thanx.
the sportlines void the HP warrenty
you'll have to go with the prokit on that shock
what about the warranty on the konis? I already ordered the springs.
sorry i wouldn't know with that.. but i think that you are safe since alot of people here are using that set up.
i'm torn between tein coilovers or tokico D-specs with prokit.
Ok. I was just looking at the both of those set-ups. The Tein coilover looks pretty good, but a little more than i am looking to spend at this time.
one thing that i learned here... do it right, do it once. if you can wait save up and get what you want.
good luck though!
yeah, that is true. i have definitely learned u get what u pay for. thanx a lot man.
HP's won't handle the drop
KYB GR2 won't handle the drop
KYB AGX will handle the drop, but aren't warranted
Konis will and are warranted for that drop
Tokico D-Specs will and are warranted for the drop (according to Tokico reps - although they never give a FIRM definition of warranty =/ )
Teins are stiff, and according to that Cherub guy with the yellow sunfire not great for daily driving on bad roads.
You can find more in the FAQ.
well my roads suck, so i want a good balance of handling and comfort. this is my daily driver. i have tokicos on my prelude, but it isn't dropped quite that much. rides pretty smooth for being lowered tho.
im on Koni yellow with GoldLine now... and full warrantied on them. I dont think Koni though will warranty a drop of 3".

the sportline only drops 2.3 in the rear, so koni would cover that, right?
i am also planning on doing the install myself. i know a few people who have done it on 3rd gen cavaliers. anyone know if i'll need a camber kit and how hard it would be to put it on?
yes koni will cover them only on unecessary drop that will prematuraly affect the shocks.

I have sportlines and i dont have a camber kit. I got 28,000 miles out of my last set of tires 215/45/17 and they would have been good for 10,000 more, but they were cheap tires and noisy at highway speed, they didnt wear wrong though, so id say no need for a camber kit, but get a front end alignment.

yeah, i was gonna get a 4-wheel alignment anyways, just to be safe. but i'm glad to know i shouldn't need a camber kit. thanx man
