Ok im gonna get one of these with Sportlines for my suspension setup.......I'm headed in the way of the D-specs just for the fact that they require no modification to put in...basically just looking for opinions on both struts from people that have them.

i am in the same exact predicament, im going with sportlines, but im not sure which of these would be my best choice. i like the idea of little fabrication with the d-specs, but i believe they are only warrantied for 1 year unlike the yellows, anybody have any more information. its very appreciated, thanks
ok when i contacted koni they said they have a lifetime warranty and they are designed to be used with the sportlines so there would be no warranty issues. and that if something does happen to go wrong they will exchange the deffective damper at no charge.
when i contacted Tokico they said their warranty was for 1 year and when i asked about the D specs holding up with the drop of the Sportlines the guy told me that i shouldnt have a problem but the warranty wont cover abuse, i asked him what was the max i could lower my car with the D specs with out voiding the warranty and what was considered abuse, and he said that as long as i dont abuse them i shouldnt have to worry about the warranty..... just seems odd he couldnt give me straight answer.
but then again my friend had the koni reds on his car and now switched to the D specs and he swears up and down that the D specs are a much beater dampner than the Konis he had... he has a 00 sunfire and hes running goldline springs.
i am deff going with the yellows and sportlines even though he says the D specs are better... i just trust Koni more after talking to them now.

oh yeah if it makes any difference i made these calls and got that info back in early January. So yeah stuff may have changed since then now that they been on the market for awhile

Maybe I'll reconsider the Konis.
ya they didn't give me a straight anwser either but i got them with sportlines anyways. the car handles great and the car sits good too(check out the new pics
). the only problem i have had is that when you put a 160lb me and a 110lb GF and another combined 410lbs of other people in the back the rear struts got nothing left. smooth bumps are fine but sharp bumps max them out. but i think its that way with any setup.

lovin the tokico's right now have the dampers set like 1/2 a turn from all the way soft and the ride is soo smooth. Install was a breeze too.
has anybody had any problems with the tokicos? has anyone had to get them reparied under warranty, or are they reliable enough to not need to really worry about the warranty? thanks again
As far as I know, the D-specs just came out recently, and not too many people have them yet. So as far as reliability and warranty issues I think we're all just gonna have to wait and see.....
Well i just ordered my D-Spec today and i will be matching the with sportlines so ill write a review when they are on
what about the D-Specs with ground control coilovers? Do you think I'll be okay if I get the coils on D-specs?
well what i got when i called was that tokico dspecs do have a lifetime warranty.
the yellows take effort to put in, but you also get to learn how to do it and feel more accomplished when you are done, yellows and reds are very good. the only thing about the konis is the back strut mount needs to be drille dout to a 1/2 inch i believe, would be a good idea to get new mounts and have them drilled out at a machine shop prior to installing, also the front ones are inserts into the front oem housing, that is pretty easy to do measure and cut insert.
Yellows where a PITA to install but were well worth it in the end. My yellows/GC ride so nice. I love it.

thank you very much, that really makes a difference, because i really didnt want to cut with the yellows, and if they do have a lifetime i know they will be the last shocks i ever buy.
