Steering Slop

What is the best upgrade for getting rid of steering slop on a 2002 Z24. Mine isn't too bad, but after driving several other compacts, the steering definitely feels like there is room for improvement. As of right now, the suspension, including the wheels are stock. Also, how big of a difference would wider tires alone make? Looking for any and all suggestions. Thanks

bigger rim (17")
performance shocks
lowering springs
front / rear strut tower bars
rear sway bar (and the front if you car doesn't come with one)
urethane control arm bushings

i feel that i'm missing something.....

^^^^^^
that's about it

add polyurethane control arm end links if your bars didn't include em

also the polyurethane lower engine mount... it isn't a "steering" item, but it does a wonderful job getting the torque from the engine to the wheels faster which creates the illusion of better handling when zipping around corners (there is a upper engine mount and transmission mounts too, but conbined I don't think they match what just the lower mount did for my 99 Z24).
