well....im relatively new, and have been reading alot, including the FAQ...
however....
i basically would like to lower my car via. adjustable coilovers and lowering struts, and i will not skimp out on good quality...
so far i think i would like to use the
tein basic coilovers
koni yellow struts
how would you rate the tein basics? and what other coilovers would YOU recommend?
how would YOU rate the koni yellow struts? anything better?
will i need a camber kit? someone told me only if you have 18"+ rims, i only have 17s
will i need any new strut mounts?
should i replace anything else while im at it?
thanks alot in advance....i will continue to read more on this forum.
tein basics or ground control coilovers ** meant to include that
As far as I know, the tein basics are a complete setup. I'm pretty sure they come with the struts and coilovers already assembled.
I've read they're a good setup to go wih but a little on the stiff/bumpy side.
Camber kits - the guy didn't know what he was talking about. You will need an alignment, but camber kits aren't necessary on our cars. You may find you need new strut mounts, I've heard swapping suspensions tends to break them.
so what would you guys recommend i lower my car with?
i want a 2 1/2 adjustable drop, want quality, but dont wanna pay with an arm and a leg to get the BEST stuff out there....
what coilovers?
what struts?
what is the difference between koni reds and koni yellows? price differences as well?
^^^^^
They stoped the reds. The yellows are adjustable without taking them out. The reds were a bit less $$$.

rubbing depends on your offset, if you dont know much about that, read the FAQ in the wheel and tire forum.
