All right I searched some but couldn't find a definitive answer. In my mind I could just buy the agx struts and the pro-kit and then have them installed.
But I'm reading all over this forum about strut mounts, and I even saw 2004 cavs or fires replacing their strut mounts. I mean, aren't our cars new ? why would we need strut mounts ?
And my last question, should I change my strut mounts for my drop ?

People with 2000+ cars have been changing their strut mounts
to the older style because they find problems with the newer
1 piece setup and prefer the older 3 piece. I haven't had a problem
yet but when i do i plan on doing the swap also. If you can do the
work yourself i would suggest just doing the struts and springs for
now. However if you are paying for the install it might be a good
idea to request to have the older style mounts installed. Overall
the answer is No you don't HAVE to change your mounts right now
but most likely eventually you will need new ones
and what are those problems, I imagine they cause much inconvenience if they are to be changed. I like the approach of do it, forget about it,I don't feel like checking on my suspension all the time to make sure it's still good.

The problems i have heard of
are that you get extra noise from
them and that after some time the
rubber inside the mount will start to
bind and get forced up through the top.
Not sure if there were any other problems.
I'm sticking with the original ones until i
personally run into this problem of course
i'm not afraid to pull everything apart whenever
i get bored.
