well i would like to see everyones view on the tein basics...
adjustable drop with struts built right in...
found them for 1100$ canadian....
how would you compare to:
ground control coilovers
koni yellows
koni reds
the best deal i found on those, were roughly 900 US converted to canadian dollars....1100CAN....plus shipping/taxes, and if i get from a US dealer + duties
i cant compare to other stuff on my ride, but I have ridden in some lowered cavys on various things such as agx/prokit, some other random setups, and what not, but all in all
I am very VERY satisified with my TEIN Basic Setup.
The install was easy, product is amazing and high quality. I think the ride is great as well, its a little stiffer than stock you feel it a little more, but i put on my 18s and installed them on the same day, and compared to stock i didnt really notice a huge difference.
They are self adjusting so you dont get the adjustablity as the yellows, but from things I have ridden in i liked them better than the reds, never been in a car with reds/gcs

im from winnipeg!!!!!
the only thing i found was tein basics only have 1 year warranty!!!!!!! eeek...that scares me quite a bit
In the past month my Teins have gotten a good beating, I'm pretty sure if they are going to break it's going to be in the first year, so the warranty isn't an issue to me
They're great. I've never ridden in a car with Yellows and GCs so I can't compare them. On the other hand, there's no cutting and fabricating with the Teins. They bolt right in.
do the teins need new upper strut mounts like the konis do? (as in 95-99 strut mounts)?
anything else i need to know about them?
