thanks everyone for your help. i know i could have searched this, but im unsure as to what to search for. i have th easy street kit, and after 2 exhausting days of installation, and every part of the damn system leaking you can possible imagine, ive finally completed the install, but i have to order a new valve b/c one of my dump valves were bent. and stuck open. but anyways. when i first drove the car, it was extremly stiff, and i literally felt every crack in the road, my alignment is way off, and now the car feels like its all over the road. now im not sure whwat i need to do. first thing i want to adress is the stiffness. if i drive at anything under 140 my rear tires rub the fenders. so i cant lower the pressure. so what am i missing? i know there is a dampening knob on there, but what does that exactly do?? will that dampening knob help with the tighness of the car, it feels really loose, and it feels like something is almost loose on it. like i left a wheel loose on the car, or that could just be the stiffness of it. i do notice my body kit does not even touch the ground when i slam it, but thats okay with me, b/c i dont want to touch the b/k to the ground. also, when i let air into the struts, it feels like im doing it way too fast, and im scared im going to blow the struts. is that normal, or am i doing something wrong?? i also dont know if this matters or not, but i have 18's on the car with low profile tires on it. i know thats going to contribute to the rough ride, but the way the car feels now, scares me. it feels like something is loose, and is going to fall off if i go to fast with the carthanks guys, i really appreciate the help with this. im very new to air ride, and i know im going to have to get use to the ride of the car, but im not sure if this is the way its suppose to feel. thanks again guys!!
Leakage: Re-tighten all fittings and use 3-4 layers of teflon tape. If you can move the fittings with one hand, they are not tight enuff.
Drivability: You should be at around 40 psi on front and 60 psi in the rear while cruising around. 140 psi is why they are bumpy as heck. Your tires are rubbing because your alignment is screwed.
Get and alignment done NOW!
If you have the 3/8" valves with the 1/2" lines, the car's psi will jump up drastically when you press the switch. Don't worry, this is normal.
Get an alignment and re-tighten the fittings. Then drive at 40/60 and turn the front dampening to about 4 and the rear to about 3 or 4. Drive it and keep adjusting it until you get it comfortable. You cannot drive at 140 psi... that will be the worst ride I can imagine.

thanks bossman. i did not know that you can get an alignment with air ride. i thought i was rubbing b/c i have some wide tires, and the back end was hanging low. ill, check it out. any good places to go and get an alignment done with this type of car with air?? also, i used teflon paste, i thought that was the best, but i can tell now its just a pain in the ass. lol. ill have to redo everything. im going to change those quick connect fittings to screw type, since the screw type are the best you can possibly have. i dont know where the leak is, its very small, b/c i put full pressure in the bags, and came back like 2-3 hours later, and it was down from 90 psi to like 40 or something like that. so i know its a fitting, but i cant find it. i sprayed soapy water on everything, and i cant see where its comeing from. hmm. i guess ill go and play with the dampening on the strusts right now, b/c i need to get to work in this car. thanks for your advice!! take care!!
wow 140 is high. i ride at 55 in the rear. if your tires hit, your going to have to roll the fenders
That paste stuff is garbage... i dont know why easystreet even includes that with the kit.
Yes you can get alignment done. I went to Canadian Tire to get mine done. You can prolly try your local automotive shop or most performance shops that have an alignment machine.
You will probably need to re-do all the fittings, but this time use the teflon tape. When you use the tape, make sure you wrap in along the thread pattern, so it doesn't peel off as you tighten. Also, make sure to leave 1-2 grooved uncovered to prevent the tape from shredding and breaking off. It may end up causing your valves to stick if it gets stuck in them.
I used teflon the first time, and nothing leaks. I can leave the car sitting for days without a leak of any sort. You have to use some strength to tighten those fittings. If you think it can't tighten more without your wrist breaking, then stop.

roll your fenders and even at 60psi in the rear you shouldnt be tucking tire anyways
i ride right now at 40 in the front and 35 in the rear lol yes its low but its also very comfy
for your fittings definatly use the teflon tape and the quick connect fittings are just fine mine havent leaked for 2 years now

ok well while we are on the subject, i have the screw on fittings or compression fittings whatever, and i am wondering how tight is too tight, it seems to me that the ighter i tighten it the air line starts tilting in the fitting and then it leaks, i made sure the line and everything was stright before tightening but it doesnt help, thanks, later
^ and yes do get an alignment done very soon it will make all the diff in the ride
pic coming soon

wow, thanks for all the great comments. now, just a couple more questions. one, i never quite understood what rolling fenders means, could you elaborate on that, as i am unsure to what that means. also, i think im just going to redo all the fittings tomarro, and hopefully ill have the car running by the time i go to work, probably not, but hell, its worth a try right!! i didnt use the teflon paste that came with the kit, i got some teflon paste from my job that we use on all of the city of chicago trucks that have air brakes, so i thought that would been the best stuff to go with, but obviously not, and now that damn paste if all over my fittings, and it just looks ugly. instead of rolling my fenders, should i also consider maybe buying smaller rims since my wheels are 18's?? and one last thing, on your rear struts, should the air line be on the inside or outside of the strut, for example, should it be towards the tire, or towards the "shock well"?? thanks alot for all your help guys, and please, keep these comments comeing, i want to drive my car, but im scared of it at the moment. also, did anyone have that loose feeling in there car while they were driving?? and if you did, did the alignment clear that up 100% or did you have to play with the dampening knob?? And when i get my alignment done, what PSI should the car be at for them to align it?? thanks alot, i know alot of questions, but i want to be sure about everything b4 i do something wrong. thanks again guys, and if anyone lives in chicago, and ever does lambo doors, let me know, ill do them for you for free since you guys helped me with this huge problem!!!! again, you guys are the greatest!!!!!

lol thats a lot of questions. well rolling the fenders is just pushing the lip of the inside of the fenders in and rolling the the wheel well part of the fender outward so you would be able to tuck. the teflon tape should of worked. did you put enough on? i went over each fitting like 5 times. theres no need to get smaller wheels. i have 18s and im fine. theres people running 19s and are also fine. alot of it has to do w/ the tire size and offset of your wheel. as for the fitting on the rear. i have mine facing the outside of the car so i can easily change it if need be without having to remove the whole strut. i never had a problem w/ my car feeling loose when driving but when you get it aligned set it to the psi thats the most comfortable ride for you. everyone uses different psi's. granted after you get it done and play w/ the switches your alignment is going to be off again but you wont notice it. its hard to get it back to the exact psi you had it at when you got it aligned.
