Need a drop... so i need suggestions
Sunday, May 29, 2005 12:08 PM
I just purchased 18" rims and i realize ill be needing a drop to get rid of the 4x4 look... However Im not looking for the best racing setup etc... i dont street race or anything... I just prefer a comfortable ride upgrade to go with a nice look... There tends to be alot of snow in the winters so i dont want a huge drop... anybody have similiar experiences with me? What set up did you use shocks/struts/springs... thx in advance

I would suggest KYB AGX struts and shocks first and foremost. They're adjustable so you can dial; in your ride better. The least amount of drop you'll be able to get for our cars will be with the Suspension Tech springs. They have a 1.2" drop. If you want a little bit more, I would suggest Eibach Pro-Kit springs, which will give you a 1.5" drop. I have a KYB AGX/ Eibach Pro-Kit setup on my Cav and its a very nice ride once its all dialed in.

the agx's are adjustable and hoe do you adjust them by taking them off and then realign them that would suck
thanks Nick

just turn the nobs on the rear, or use the screwdriver and turn the dial in the front...
real easy to do....

if you have a friend in the car, you can stop and a stop light, pop the hood, and adjust all 4 like a real pit stop in the time of that stop light or less...

dont ask me how i know this

how' about the Gravana Coils, you could drop it in the summer and raise it in the winter. Check'em out in the G.P forums. I've heard ppl say that coilovers aren't met for winters..hehe well i'm in montreal canada..some of the worst winters here..and the buddies i know that have coilovers, don't have any probs(being that you maintain them, and not let them corrode with an inch of salt attached)
