hey guys, i got my easy street kit, which i love, but im getting a clunk noise from the rear and i cant figure out what it is. i does it on medium and large bumps but i cant get it to do it while pushing on the trunk to make the car bounce. any ideas?
welcome to the club. everyone has it in the rear. ive had my kit for a year and it just started a few months ago. i got new mounts from jim. what you might wanna check is the joint at the bottom where the bolt goes through to reconnect it. tighten that up all the way and see it thats it.
Like mentioned above- Tighten the bottom bolt on your airstrut in the back...
I mean- TIGHT!

one of the nuts was loose and i tightened it but it still hasnt fixed the problem.
then its probably something w/ the mounts. how old is your kit? i know they started to put out a new version of struts. i got mine about a year ago before the new struts came out and that was a big problem w/ the old struts. i contacted jim about it and he sent everyone w/ the older struts new mounts for free to fix the problem. i just havent got around to putting them in yet
did it fix your problem? The new mount? Cause I have one brand new strut and one of the old ones. Still have not put it in again LOL. I emailed JIM but never got any help haha.
no i havent put them on yet. im waiting to get the integra on the road so i can take the cav off so i can work on it
I have the new mounts and I still got the sound...

So it's not worth my time LOL
not really bro
i put the new mounts in mine in the rear to try and fix the problem....still there just as much as it was before
i have to order up some new bearings for the front cause the creaking is getting rediculous too

That creaking is the top strut nut rubbing against the mount and starting to cross thread. That is how I have one brand new strut for the front and one older style one.
I don't think the strut shaft on the Easystreet system is thin enough to go through the stock mounts is it? I would much rather use the stock mounts than the easystreet ones cause I don't want the thing stripping out again.
