Hey guys, so I'm having a hard time making a decision on what Struts to get for my 04 Sunfire. Currently I'm riding on Eibach Pro-Kit, and stock struts. They work fine on well paved roads, but they are REAL harsh on the streets of New Haven, where I work.
I'm basically looking for a Strut that won't make my car feel like a paint shaker, when I go to work. I would imagine that a strut that can perform that well on New haven roads, will kill the OEM struts on a well paved road.
Lots of people keep telling me to go with the AGX, but I have read alot of reviews that they are harsh on bad roads. Another problem I'm having with the stocks, are that they pop in the back on bigger bumps, kinda sounds like they're bottoming in out. I have checked and rechecked the install on them and can't find anything wrong, but I would like the spec on torquing the rear if you guys have them. I hear the AGX strut is a shorter strut and will prevent this from happening.
All in all, i'm just looking for some good advise. I don't want to speng $500 bucks on something thats going to perform just a bit better than stocks on a hard road.
Perhaps Tokico? Koni? Let me know... Thanks!
Koni Yellow or Tokico D-Spec.
agx arent harsh on bad roads.... think about it.... they are adjustable struts....
anything will handle like crap, run like crap, etc IF they arent adjusted for the road it will ride on.
the rear almost sounds like your strut mounts are bad, but that comes with running performance lowering springs on stock struts. if the struts arent doing their job other parts of the system have to take the blow.
pro-kit will work with agx, koni, or d-spec. AGX are quit a bit cheaper and are warranted up to 1.5in drop (pro-kit is 1.4). If i had pro kit i'd go with agx. Best strut for the buck

Yup, from what I've heard, AGX will be fine with pro-kit, but since he didnt like the sound of the AGX, I just gave him the higher up ones.
