powder coating vs. epoxy paint for calipers. does anyone know what the temprating for powder coating is? i know epoxy paint like g2 is 932 degrees.

There are 4 major types of powder coating. Each has it's own merrits and temperature rating. So it depends very much on which you're getting. TGIC, Polyeurethane, Epoxy, and Hybrid. Some look shinier, some more matte, others stand up to the elements better. Also remember that your calipers don't get that hot (400+) unless you're driving the car very hard (racing). Sometimes it's easier to just decide between good looks, or performance.

Epoxy and Ceramic Paints should hold up just fine, but will never look as nice as powder coating IMHO.
